Dial-Up Setup Information

Create the Dial-Up Connection:

1. Double-click on the My Computer icon
2. Double-click on the Dial-up Networking icon (in Windows ME/2000, click on Dial-up Networking on the left side of the screen)
3. Double-click on the Make New Connection icon
4. Type SimplePC where it asks for the provider name
5. Select your modem (it may be selected already)
6. Click Next
7. Enter the ACCESS NUMBER in the telephone number box
8. Click Next
9. Click Finish

Create the Dial-Up Connection:

1. Open the Start Menu and select Control Panel
2. Click on Network and Internet Connections
3. Click on Setup or change your Internet connection
4. Click Setup
5. Type in your area code (864) and click Ok
6. Click Next
7. Make sure Connect to the Internet is selected and click Next
8. Select Set up my connection manually and click Next
9. Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click Next
10. Type SimpleDSL and click Next
11. Type 229-6483 in the telephone number box and click Next
12. Click Finish

Set Internet Explorer to Connect Automatically:

1. Double-click on the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop
2. Click on Tools
3. Click on Internet Options (if not listed, look under EDIT)
4. Click the Connections Tab
5. Click on SimplePC
6. Click on Set Default
7. Click on Dial whenever a network connection is not present
8. Click OK

Configure your E-Mail:

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click on Tools
3. Click on Accounts
4. Click the Add button and select Mail
5. Type your name, followed by clicking Next
6. Type your email address, followed by clicking Next
7. Type mail.simplepc.net in the incoming mail server, and type mail.simplepc.net in the outgoing mail server, followed by clicking Next
8. Type your username (remember: usernames on the SimplePC network are the ENTIRE e-mail address), and type your password, followed by clicking Next
9. Click Finish
